Study lists

You can not view the Chinese characters or the proper pinyin in this window but on all other pages in the program you will have the correct character and pinyin.For faster load times we show the native form of the texts instead o the actual characters on this window.

The central item in this program is your study lists. You can create as many as you like. You can have one list for every chapter or maybe lists with only hard to remember words etc. Your lists can be saved in different folders to make it easier to organize.

We have included several pre made lists with characters for beginners and intermediate students. Among them are e.g. a list with the 300 most frequently used characters in Chinese newspapers. Those 300 Characters represent some 60-65% of the total number of characters in a normal Chinese newspaper. (Those characters are often part of compounds) There are also other lists with the 1600 most frequently used Chinese characters. More lists can be downloaded from our server.

A study list consists of one or more Chinese words with translation and pinyin reading.  You can also enter a word weight. A higher word weight makes that word come up more often when you are taking tests or study from the list. You can edit your lists, erase entries, add more entries, edit entries, copy entries between lists, upload lists to our server, download other users lists from our server etc.

Those lists are used in all other parts of the program, you can use them to study your words, to print flash cards, print study lists, use them in many tests and more.
