Follow those
steps to make the software to work:
Step 1:
Chinese font. If you do not have any Chinese font you need to install one.
If you experiences weird looking pinyin or characters replaced with squares or question marks you also need to
install a different font. The one you are using needs to be fully Unicode capable. You can download one very good
looking open source font from Arphic below.
Step 2: Important!
Windows XP and Windows 2000 are equiped
with a security system that prevents us from updating some files. If you have an error saying
"Error 1931. The windows installer service cannot update the system file c:\windows\system32\scrrun.dll..."
you need to manualy download this file update from Microsoft and install it. You will only have this error if
your system is not updated with Microsofts latest Scripting engine. You can also choose to skip this file.Some parts of the program wil not work, e.g. backup of files, export files and import files. The file can be downloaded from:

Step 3: Since most users have access or others
program using a component called Jet, we do not include it in the package. If
you do not have this file, you can download it from Microsoft

Step 5: We are still using a Microsoft OCX file
called Forms2.0 This file is used to display Chinese characters. Unfortunately
there is also a bug in this file. Some machines will give you an error message,
e.g. out of memory. If you have this error, download this bug fix and install
it, after you have installed the dictionary! This will correct the

Step 6:
Windows 98 needs simplified Chinese
language support (this can be downloaded from Microsoft update (from the menu
in windows or IE or here) or simply visit any Chinese home page
using Chinese characters and you will be prompted to download it. size=2.8 Mb.

Step 7: If

for a solution.
- Arphic Unikai. Very good font with both simplified and traditional characters along with Pinyin and radicals etc.
We are using this font our self and it is the deafult font selected in this program. Unzip the file and go to start\settings\control panel\fonts in windows and click on the meny file and install font. In there, choose the directory where you unzipped the file and you will find the font file and can install it.
