This is the latest version of our talking Chinese dictionary. As always it is free and comes with a number of features. You can look up words based on the translation, pinyin, radical, number of strokes etc. There are functions to translate words directly from Internet pages, find radicals, view stroke order animations and much more.  It is now more integrated with our Chinese study tool, "Chinese Home work Trainer". You can save words you look up in the dictionary directly to your study lists and use them in any of the test in Chinese homework trainer.

The dictionary is based on the Cedict file started by Paul Denisowski. It also integrates the Unihan file from the unicode organization.

Integrated in the program is also our new project, "Stroke order animation project". Our goal is to have a complete, free, database with all stroke orders for every Chinese and Japanese character. You can create and upload stroke animations in the program. This is public domain and the first animations are already build in to this program. Please help us to make this database larger! It will help a lot of students! Test a stroke order animation From the menu you can choose the link "Stroke order" to read more about how to create a strokeorder animation.
